I remember seeing this stove still in use in the homes of several older folks way back when I was a kid. How would its efficiency compare to my Lopi stove? I don’t know but would like to compare them sometime. Has our technology improved over that used in heating stoves like this 1905 Cole’s Hot Blast Stove? Click to Enlarge.

Responding to the 1905 Cole’s Hot Blast Stoves posting. Thanks for posting this very cool old advert. My grandfather, Hugh Livingston Cole founded Cole’s Hot Blast stove company in Chicago. The Amish near hear love the Cole’s Hot Blast brand of heating stove because they say it delivers more heat with less wood. I have found 2 beautiful old Cole’s stoves and am looking for more. I’m also looking for testimonials about these stoves and the company/people who built them. Also any resources that help to identify & date the various models. If you hear of any of these for sale at a reasonable price, or any info about them, please send me a note at stevenmartin1966@gmail.com.
Thank You!
I have one, and would love to get any information on it that I can. I will post the model number soon.
I recently bougtht a house in utah and in the shed is a coles original hot blast that the previous owners son told me was in a cobuse of a union pacific train. I hooked it up today and it got hot quick and used very little wood
Hi Steve.
I have a Cole’s Hot blast cook stove that I believe my house may have been built around. I have lived in this house in Montana for 21 years. How cool that your grandfather was the founder of the company. I am currently looking for a new home for mine. If you are interested let me know.
Thanks,
Nicole
Hi. I read your comment on your stove. I myself have one and I have been trying to get a response from this website but not having any luck. Have you heard anything about your stove? Thanks
Becky
We have been trying to research your family company history since we started restoring our stove. We want to have it to keep with our stove. Any information you can give us would be great.
Thanks.
I have sent two requests to this website and one email. All I want is some info about our stove. If this website is no longer in use I wish you would let us know. We have no intention of selling our stove just info would be great or direct us to a website we can utilize.
It looks like your best hope of finding someone who knows much about these stoves is Steve .. (see his comment above).. He notes that he can be contacted at: stevenmartin1966@gmail.com
Steve – just saw your posting – i live in Wyoming and i have an old model 166 that was given to me a couple of years back. it has been sitting out in my shop taking up space. it’s in ok shape, structrurally sound but it looks like it could use a new grate in it. all of the covers are there, If your interested in it send me an e-mail and i’ll try to get a picture to you.
