Handcarving Gravestones

After spending hundreds of hours in New England cemeteries finding the tombstones of my ancestors, I’m frequently amazed at how many of them I can remember in detail.

Observing which stones lasted the longest and which carving design is both the most interesting and still legible clicked through my mind in a constant measuring ticker.
