If you are among the fortunate whose ancestors lived in small towns across New England and the Midwest during the mid-to-late 1800’s, you probably already know about the old historical books written covering the lives and locales of their residence.
I’ve almost always found useful information in them that helps in my genealogical research quest in the form of family histories to histories of the town and area that provide additional clues to aid in my quest.
The books, Genealogical and family history of the State of New Hampshire, have constantly been good friends when I’m working on my ancestors who lived there.
If you haven’t looked for information about your ancestors in these old publications, take time to do so soon. You may be very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the information you find in them.
Once again…. Thanks Google Books!

Hi,
Thank you for having The Genealogical and Family History of New Hampshire online. Could you please let me know if all four volumes are online?
Thank you so much for your very helpful internet site.
Sincerely yours,

David, there are a couple of sites that you’ll want to check for online genealogy research books: http://books.google.com and http://archive.org/index.php
