FamilySearch Wiki ~ New York Emigration and Immigration

A very large percentage of the immigrants to the United States arrived through theImmigrants_Behold_the_Statue_of_Liberty port of New York City.  Almost all U.S. citizens will eventually track family members who entered the port for some reason.

How do we find the resources and research aids to help us find them?

The solution is simple.  Go to the New York Emigration and Immigration page on the FamilySearch Wiki.   I can’t declare it to be all inclusive but there is so much information and so many links on this subject, you’ll undoubtedly be rewarded with positive results in your ancestral quest.  It really is that good of a resource.
