Remember when Mom and Dad went out and you absolutely had to tag along? As it turned out, they did have more energy than you.
Remember nodding off to sleep at family gatherings while the adults talked? The tone of their conversations seemed to be heavy on your eye lids because you couldn’t keep them open.
Remember sleeping in the car while they drove the family home? The joints in the asphalt made the constant thump, thump sound that when coupled with the music wafting from the radio became a strong sleeping drought.
These nights out with mom and dad were often boring and tiring from the perspective of a youngster but we remember them with fondness.
