Calaveras County Illustrated

Famous for its part in the California Gold Rush and as home to some of mycalaveras_county_illustrated ancestors, the Calaveras County Illustrated was a delightful discovery on Google Books.

Most folks know Mark Twain’s tale “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”.  It is still the theme of local celebrations and in many tourist stores.

Calaveras County is a great place to live and a great place to visit.  Enjoy reading about it in the Illustrated.   Once again, Thanks Google Books!
