War destroys or otherwise significantly impacts the lives of mankind. During World War II, a large portion of the population of Gibraltar was evacuated from their homes to areas of relative safety.

the evacuation of all civilians from Gibraltar occured during WW2 and not WW1 as stated above. The photos are all from WW2
