We read of the flood of ‘new’ vehicles on the market today. Many of them are 100^ electric powered, shunning petroleum as a source for their energy. Is the technology new? No. But electric vehicles today are certainly far advanced over the technology used in this early Detroit Electric car seen below backed up to a shop charging its batteries. It undoubtedly had a short range, but in a day of “chuga” “chuga” cars, it was the blessedly quiet buggy seen rolling down the street.
