State Biographies ~ FamilySearch Wiki

The FamilySearch Wiki has Biography articles for each U.S. State.  The articles follow the theme for States that include state history pages.

The biography pages include information and links to resources of biographical sketches of historically well-known residents of the state as we can see with George Washington Carver in the Alabama Biographies article

The South Carolina article features the famous Revolutionary War Brigadier General Francis Marion who was known as “The Swamp Fox”.

As expected, the Tennessee article features Davey Crocket.

The article length vary by state based on the information added to them by the Wiki community.  If you have information that would benefit the genealogy community, take the time to add it to the Biography or other topical articles.  Many minds sharing their knowledge make an excellent resource for all of us to enjoy.
