Passport Application ~ Lewis Briggs Jackson

it seems like every time I find a passport application associated with one of my genealogy family members, I wish that every person in my family tree had filed for a passport too.  

The applications are full of information about the individual up to and including their photo.  They give us height, weight, face shape and other physical attributes of the applicant. …..  The ‘stuff’ we want to know in addition to the raw names, dates and places in their lives.

Such was the case for my distant cousin, Lewis Briggs Jackson as you can see in the documents below:.

If your relatives lived in the period of them when passport were required for foreign travel, don’t overlook them as excellent sources of information in your ancestral quest.
