Railway Accidents in History

We recently watched the movie, Polar Express, as a Christmas Season activity.  If you’ve seen the movie you remember the hair-raising ride as the train crests the mountain pass on its way to the depths far below.  Even though the movie is animated, we still grip the arms of our chair during the scenes of that wild ride.

Most folks have never seen the results of a real train accident.  They are horrific as seen in these vintage images of train wrecks from the past.
