My ancestors loved Plymouth County, Massachusetts as witnessed by their
centuries-long habitation in and around Plymouth.
Due to its close proximity to Plymouth, a fairly large percentage of them lived and died in Duxbury.
Trips to Plymouth County always include stops in cemeteries and visits to see the records of town clerks. Fortunately, much of the time I’d normally spend scanning records in old town vital record books can be done from home thanks to the wonderful collection of vital records books that were created shortly after 1850 in most towns in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Today, we don’t even have to leave home to read these treasure troves of genealogical information. Google presents them online to read at our leisure day or night as witnessed by the book, Vital records of Duxbury, Massachusetts to the year 1850. Thanks Google!
