The wealth of resources available to those of us who have ancestors in Massachusetts is amazing. We think we have discovered ‘all’ of the records that related to our ancestors but quickly discover that we are wrong … once again.
I’ve often wished that all the lines in my ancestral tree traced back to early Massachusetts. Perhaps then, the few brickwalls I’ve encountered wouldn’t exist, at least on this side of the pond.
The book, Representative Men and old Families of Southeastern, Massachusetts by J. H. Beers & Co. of Chicago in 1912 how long been one of my favorite ancestral research tomes.
Thanks to Google Books, It is online for all of us to enjoy.
