World War II ~ Transparent Noses for A-20’s

During World War II, most men were off fighting the war.  Women joined the workforce to build the airplanes, vehicles and materials for war.

One striking image from that time was a factory floor full of the transparent nose cones for A-20 bombers.  Women with their hair tied up with a scarf or handkerchief populate the image as they polish the glass to remove the oil and stains from the construction process.
