I’ve long sought more information about the early Walker families who lived in
Plymouth Colony. My initial genealogy research indicated that I descend through several of the families.
Since that time, I found an error in a source book that disproved most of those links, but not all. Like many of you, I descend through Richard and Elizabeth Walker Warren of Mayflower fame. I also descend through other Walker women whose lineage has proven hard that have proven hard to trace.
One of the books that has been very helpful in my quest is James Bradford Richmond Walker’s “Memorial of the Walker of the Old Plymouth Colony, Embracing Genealogical and Biographical Sketches of James, of Taunton; Philip, of Rehoboth; William, of Eastham; John, of Marshfield; Thomas, of Bristol; and of Their Descendants, from 1620 to 1860.
Thanks to Google Books, we all have access to this resource 24-hours a day.
