The History of Salisbury, New Hampshire

The Town of Salisbury, New Hampshire is fairly small with a population of less thanhistory_salisbury2 1400 people in the 2010 U.S. Census, but its history runs deep.

I’m always amazed at how many of my ancestors lived or enjoyed significant events in their lives in Salisbury.

John J. Dearborn’s book, “The History of Salisbury New Hampshire: From Date of Settlement to the Present Time.”  “The whole Interspersed with Numerous Interesting Incidents.”  “Embellished with Maps, Cuts, and portraits of Distinguished Citizens” has long been a favorite book in my collection.

If you too have ancestor who lived in or traveled through Salisbury, you’ll find the book to be of great value as you add the historical and environmental color to their life stories.
