Rolls of Connecticut Men in the French and Indian War, 1755 – 1762

Did your ancestors live in Connecticut during the mid-1700’s?  If so, there is a fairly connecticut_french_indiangood chance that your male ancestors served in the militia during the French and Indian War.

I’ve long been a fan of the Connecticut Historical Societies book, “Rolls of Connecticut men in the French and Indian War, 1755-1762, volume 2.”

Do you know what Company they served in?  Their enlistment an discharge dates?  The name of their commanders?  The date of their death if they died while in service?

The book gives us that information.  You may have to do a little searching to find your family names, but it is time well spent.

Enjoy its pages as much as I have over the years.
