World War I ~ Mass for Germans Before Battle

The battle fields of war are full of young men wearing the uniform of their country wondering if their short lives will continue until the end of the day.   Before major battles, soldiers of all nations suddenly find that religion is attractive even if it hasn’t been in their lives to prior to the war.

In this photo we see a group of German soldiers in World War I as they gather for an outdoors Mass prior to battle.
