Visiting Arlington National Cemetery

If you haven’t visited Arlington National Cemetery before, there isn’t a good way toArlington_House describe the impact on your soul that results from quietly contemplating the lives, courage and bravery of the soldiers, sailors, airmen and military personnel that the seemingly endless rows of tombstones represent.

It is a place for solemnity, for tears and for appreciation.

On this 4th of July holiday week, remember those who gave so much for us to enjoy the freedoms of America.  May we firmly resist those in government today who are working frantically to take them away and may we remember the founding principles of this great nation.

About lineagekeeper

Family history research is a favored avenue of relaxation. It is a Sherlock-like activity that can continue almost anywhere at any time.
