Portuguese FamilySearch Wiki

Not everyone realizes that there are eleven different FamilySearch Wiki’s.  In addition to the English language wiki, there are FamilySearch Wiki’s in the following languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Swedish.

To find them, simply go to https://familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/Main_Page and scroll to the bottom of the page for the links to each of the respective wikis.  You’ll want to bookmark them if you use the them frequently.

Let’s take a brief look at the Portuguese Wiki:

The wiki’s each have their own content and character.  Although the English language wiki currently contains the most articles, volunteers are busily working to populate the other non-English wikis.

If you have language skills associated with any of the other wikis and would like to share your genealogy related knowledge with the rest of the Family History community, please join in and create accurate articles for the benefit of others.

Family history research is a favored avenue of relaxation. It is a Sherlock-like activity that can continue almost anywhere at any time. By leveraging a lifetime involvement in technology, my research efforts have resulted in terabytes of ancestral data, earning me the moniker of Lineagekeeper. And yes - We are all related to Royalty.
