Women Work While The Men Fight The War

We don’t see a large percentage of the industrial workforce comprised of women today.  That wasn’t always true.  During World War II, the need for industrial workers was enormous as men were sent to fight the war.

I delight in photo of ladies doing their jobs to keep stock levels up in the military supply lines that supported the effort, while at the same time wish that the situation had not existed to pull so many lovely ladies into those tasks.

In the photo below, it appears that the lady is tinning the tips of nails for some use other than those we’d typically associate with them.

About lineagekeeper

Family history research is a favored avenue of relaxation. It is a Sherlock-like activity that can continue almost anywhere at any time. By leveraging a lifetime involvement in technology, my research efforts have resulted in terabytes of ancestral data, earning me the moniker of Lineagekeeper. And yes - We are all related to Royalty.
