Frank Huggard Hauling Carbonate in American Fork Canyon

I’d heard stories of some of the jobs grandpa Frank Huggard worked to support his family in addition to owning and working on a large farm.  He hauled logs down from the top of the mountains above American Fork Canyon and the adventures in saving his team and wagon from destruction by the effect of logs by gravity were legendary.

Until a recent publication of the old hometown newspaper, I didn’t know that he also hauled carbonate down from the mines high up in the same canyon.

Family history research is a favored avenue of relaxation. It is a Sherlock-like activity that can continue almost anywhere at any time. By leveraging a lifetime involvement in technology, my research efforts have resulted in terabytes of ancestral data, earning me the moniker of Lineagekeeper. And yes - We are all related to Royalty.
