Wildcatting Changed the American Landscape

Texas Tea.  Black Gold.  Gusher!   Terms new to the American vocabulary became popular terms when oil was found across the American nation.

Oil drillers were often termed “Wildcatters” when independents looked for their own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.   Drill rigs spotted the ground above pockets of oil.
