    • Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War, Yohogan County Melitia. Will dated February 14, 1818, proved December 18, 1820. In 1780, David and his family, accompanied by brothers Colonel Isaac Cox, II, Benjamin Cox and Joseph Cox and several other families including; William Chanoweth, Colonel James Rogers with three brothers Matthew Rogers, Jonathan Rogers and William Bard Rogers (Bradstown, Ky named after William Brad Rogers), and perhaps Jacob Decker and James McDonald, moved from Virginia (West Virginia), by flat boats down the Ohio River to the "Falls of he Ohio" and then to Cox's Creek and established Cox's Station, about 5 miles N.E. of Bradstown, Ky today.
