Mary Davidson and Peter Morrison both of Oak Point, married 10,26,1837 Witnesses- Alexander McKinnon Catherine Morrison(according tothe Roman Catholic Church) Land Petition # 167 John Davidson, Cooper, for land below OakPoint, northside of Miramichi river Sept. 5, 1788 states that he has lived on this river for three years in the employ of Mr. James Fraser, merchant of this place. John Davidson also entered petitions for land in 1789, 1799, 1818 and 1819. He also purchased some lands and sold land up to about 1839. Margaret Davidson sold land up to 1848 and later land sales indicate the settlement of their estate. In 1795 and in 1797 John Davidson is listed as Surveyor of Fisheries
