    • Many sources list William with the middle initial "B", such as the American Fork Ward records. Some show the initial to stand for Bennion, and the IGI shows the name as Burdett.

      His mother died when he was 7-8 years old. He was 12 when his father died. Henry B. Butts was appointed his guardian, Jackson & St. Louis County Probate. He left the St. Louis area and was living in Amercian Fork, Utah by 1880. He may have come to American Fork because his aunt, Ellen Condor lived there. He died at age 40 from 24 hour pneumonia.
