Stephen E. Kelly Obituary
4/25/44 ~ 1/29/03
"My Sweetheart"
My angel babe, your family was with you when you passed away on January 29th, 2003. You were much too young and we promised each other to grow old together.
We fell in love and made some wonderful memories together with each other and Austin, Annie, and John David.
You were a wonderful "Papa" and a very loving Dad. You were the best "Papa" and favorite playmate to our grandchildren. They will always remember you playing "Star Wars" and being a "Prince." You planned birthday parties for them and took them to do many fun things, even took them to Disneyland. You were deeply loved by your grandchildren and family.
You attended the University of Utah and graduated from Steven Henagar Business School. You worked as manager for 17 years at Woolworth's of California. You also worked hard for the State of Utah for 20 years and were currently employed with American Express where you made some wonderful friends.
You are survived by your brothers Tom and Craig, sister Claudia and Stepmother Bernice Kelly; sisters-in-law Carla, Myrna, and brother-in-law Gerald. You left a loving wife Sherilyn and your four children, John, Tony, Darrin, and Suzette. You left five grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Austin, Annie, and John David and two more coming this summer; and our special neighbor boy Jonathon. Thank you our special friend Maureen. Many friends will miss you and your sense of humor.
You loved good books and we loved movies. We enjoyed each other and were best friends. Even through our troubled times, we stood together to support each other.
You married Darlene Gilbert Hirschi after graduating from Bingham High School and had two children, John and Tony.
Then we were married in June of 1976 and you became the father of two more children, my Darrin and Suzette and raised them to become fine adults.
I wished we could have spent more time together with family, traveling with Jim and Kathy, and watching the grandbabies grow.
I will cherish the times we had together and will keep them in my heart forever. Your children and grandchildren will always remember you and their good times. We love and miss you. I will see you soon.
The viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday February 2nd at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale, Utah. The funeral will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, with a viewing from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
