Hugh R. McClung
Hugh Randolph "Randy" McClung, 82, of Columbus died Monday, April 15, 2002, at Clarian Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. McClung retired in 1982 from Reliance Electric. He was a teacher in Sheridan, retiring in 1952, sold business machines for Underwood Corp., worked as a computer programmer and systems analyst and also worked for Chase Copper and Brass Co.
Mr. McClung was a 1938 graduate of Pittsboro High School and a 1942 graduate of Central Normal College in Danville. He was a 50-year member of Pittsboro Masonic Lodge, a member of Athenians Camping Club and secretary of the McClung Family Association.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at David A. Hall Mortuary in Pittsboro with Richard Haynes officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Lizton.
Memorials may be made to Indiana Organ Procurement Organization.
Mr. McClung was born in Pittsboro Nov. 14, 1919, the son of Frank and Edna Haynes McClung. He married Fern McKain June 4, 1952, at Columbus. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Maurice McClung of Indianapolis; a sister, Mildred M. Edlin of Lebanon; brothers, Franklin and Donald McClung, both of Pittsboro, and Thomas H. McClung of Stockbridge, Ga.; a granddaughter, Eleanor McClung; and one great-grandchild.
