  Notes	Provo Daily Herald -- Wednesday, June 9, 1976 James L. Ashton James Lawrence Ashton, 67, of 165 E. 300 N., American Fork, died Monday, June 7, 1976 of natural causes in Salt Lake City. He was born on May 9, 1909 in American Fork to Orin and Elsie Hunter Ashton. He married Reva Richins on Sept. 20, 1933 in Salt Lake City. Mr. Ashton was a member of the LDS Church. He was a former employee of Utah Power and Light Company and Mountain Bell telephone as well. Survivors include his widow; tow sons and two daughters, Jim Ashton, American Fork; Mrs. Stanley (Sharleen) Walker, and Orin Don Ashton, both Pleasant Grove; and Mrs. Scott (Joan) Evans, Granger; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carl Ashton, Lehi. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery. [4]
