Notes	Provo Daily Herald, 9 March 1968 Obituary Patriarch Services on Monday Highland, Utah County -- Funeral services for Lugvig Maurice Larson, 77, Highland, patriarch for Alpine Stake, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be Monday noon at Highland Ward chapel. Mr. Larson died Thursday in an American Fork hospital of natural causes. he served a mission to Sweden from 1911- 1913. he was a member of the Highland Ward bishopric and Alpine Stake High Council and became patriarch in March 1964. In Highland community affairs, Mr. Larson was instrumental in getting electricity installed and road improvements made in the area. He was a member of the Highland Water Board and was a retired farmer. Hew as born April 25, 1890, in Sweden, a son of Lars Pearson and Elin Bengston Larson. He married Vera Marie Featherstone Feb. 16, 1910, in the Salt Lake Temple. Surviving are his widow, Highland; sons and daughters, Harold S., American Fork; Merlin B., Highland; John Thomas, Aberdeen, Idaho; Mrs. Henry (Marie) Greenland, Castle Gate, Carbon County; and Mrs. Fran (Lurene) Riley, Taylorsville; 44 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John (Eva) Sipkima, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, American Fork, Sunday from 7 - 9 p.m., and Monday at the chapel after 10 a.m. Burial will be in American Fork City Cemetery.
