      Effie P. Freeman

      Effie Pierce Freeman, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 1977 in an Orem nursing home.

      Born Nov. 5, 1894 in American Fork to William Burdett and Annie Jane Huggard Pierce, she married John Leslie Freeman on Aug. 9, 1913 in Pleasant Grove. He died Sept. 29, 1956.

      Mrs. Freeman was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Relief Society. She was a housemother at the University of Utah for several years. She moved from Pleasant Grove to Salt Lake City in 1943.

      Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, under the direction of Deseret Mortuary.
