Henry Ashton Leaves Hospital

Henry had a severe nervous break down after a prolonged illness. He was extremely concerned about providing for his family but his body would not sustain any heavy physical exertion. His family moved him to the state 'asylum' as the mental hospitals were called then, so that he could rest and be assisted in a location away from the stresses at home. However, he couldn't stand the feeling of abandonment of his family and slipped out of the hospital on a number of occasions and walked fourteen miles to his home in Lehi.
