The Case of Mrs. Logie
Charles Hook Gordon Logie had worked for the government almost all of his life. He died unexpectedly leaving a large family dependent on his widow. With no income, the family was in serious trouble. Ellenor Chalan Logie took the case to the legislature asking for financial assistance. The legislators turned their back on her and left left the family destitute.
